“We returned home earlier this month after six weeks in the UK. We had a wonderful time on our trip. Of all places we stayed, Fron Fawr [Taliesin] was best.”
Jim & Marilyn McClimans, Houston, Texas, USA.

“Many thanks for a lovely holiday again. The cottage [Glyndwr] has been very warm and comfortable and it is a pleasure to cook in such a well equipped kitchen. We hope to return again sometime next year.”
Mrs B Lee, Somerset.

Pétanque - a game for all ages.
Fron Fawr offers a Pétanque Pitch (competition sized: 15 x 4 metres) and each cottage has a set of traditional steel Boules. Pétanque is probably Britain's fastest growing game; in part because it can be so easily learned and is a game that can  be enjoyed by all ages.  See our Pétanque Page for the game's history and details of how it is played. “To say we were very impressed with Glyndwr and Myrddin would be an understatement!
I have many years experience in self-catering holidays and can safely say that Fron Fawr has topped the list.”
   Mike Gates, Berkshire.
. . . . and in each cottage:  You'll find a selection of books and life style magazines, a range of games for guests of all ages along with a 'Welcome Folder' telling you about Fron Fawr and the surrounding area; places to visit, local pubs and restaurants, nearby towns and what they have to offer, country and coastal walks, and loads more.  You'll also find a wealth of Tourist Information to help you make the most of your holiday.

. . . . and for children:  Cots (but not bed linen), high chairs and stair guards are available on request.  There are swings and for toddlers an outdoor plastic ‘playbox’ & slide. Due to Aneirin's pond, the cottage is not suitable for children under 16.

. . . . and pets are welcome: in all Fron Fawr cottages, but as you might expect not in bedrooms or on furniture.  And because Fron Fawr's land and neighbouring farms are grazed mostly by sheep, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when outside.
There is a charge of £25 per pet, with a limit of two pets per cottage.

We look forward to welcoming you to
Fron Fawr for a cottage holiday to remember

Smokers:  Smokers are not unwelcome, but we do ask that guests don't smoke in any bedroom and have regard for subsequent non-smoking guests.
. . . . and for some Fron Fawr magic:

Cottage Myrddin is the Welsh name for Merlin; the legendary name of the wizard from the tales of King Arthur.
